Just 1.5 hours from Paris via the A6 (via Avallon) and 2 hours from Lyon (via Autun), the Morvan Regional Natural Park opens the doors to an authentic, wild, and unspoiled region. This roadbook has been designed to allow you to discover this region in a seamless, comfortable, and enriching way, whether in a small group or in a larger group.
The proposed route connects Avallon to Autun (or in the opposite direction), crossing varied landscapes: wooded mountains , crystal-clear lakes , picturesque villages , and sites of great heritage and cultural interest . The quality of its roads – both technical and panoramic – makes it a privileged choice for those who enjoy driving at a moderate pace, keen to savor each stage.
Organization of the journey
This road trip is divided into two full days , designed for driving pleasure, discovery breaks and logistical comfort:
In the morning: between 2 and 3 hours of driving punctuated by natural or cultural stops.
Afternoon: continuation of the route with a selection of villages, panoramas or lakes.
Each stage has been chosen for its visual, historical or gastronomic interest. The recommended establishments (restaurants, inns, hotels) are able to accommodate groups upon prior reservation , guaranteeing an organization without unforeseen events.
This roadbook is an invitation to discover Burgundy in a different way : along the roads, at a controlled pace , conducive to contemplation and discovery. It is aimed at lovers of beautiful routes, terroir and heritage, wishing to live a complete experience between nature, culture and the art of living .
